Sad News, Sister Marion Farina has passed

FARINA Marion R. (Stevens) of South Boston, passed away January 24, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Farina Sr.. Devoted mother of Eugene J. Farina Jr., Joseph Farina, his wife Cheryl, all of South Boston, and the late Michael and Gerard Farina. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Corey, Lindsey, Kimberly, Joseph, and Alicia. Great-grandmother of Eliza, Dillon, and Michael. Dear sister of Marie Chighisola of FL, and the late Phillip, Beverly and Michael Stevens. Loving niece of Sr. Prudence McCarthy of Milton. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Marion was a retiree of Gillette, where she worked for over twenty years, and a retired usher at the Boston Opera House. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visiting Hours in The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street South BOSTON, on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth Street, on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion's memory can be made to The New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston MA, 02108.
