Dear Local B4 members,
In 2014 too many anti-union candidates were elected to all levels of government across our country, some by a small margin of votes. And we have been fighting some of them in the Massachusetts State House for 2 years.
If we are to survive as a healthy local and rebuild our middle class, we must have elected officials who will fight for policies that are good for all members of Local B4. To do that, it is critical that every Sister & Brother is registered to vote in time for the General Election on Tuesday, November 8, and exercises their right to vote.
If you are not sure if you are registered to vote, go to www.canivote.org and find out - it is a quick and easy way to find out if you are registered to vote. You might be surprised how many members think they are registered to vote, but are not, so check it out today.
It’s easy to register on-line in MA – just go to https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/. I urge you to please register to vote or check your voter registration status ASAP, even if you are sure you are registered.
- To be eligible to vote in the MA Primary Election on Thursday September 8, you must register to vote by August 19.
- To be eligible to vote in the General Election on Tuesday, November 8, you must register to vote by October 19.
Please contact me with any voter registration questions or for more information. Thank you.
In Solidarity,
Jim Mootos
