We had a great turnout for the first of two Road Shows held this past Monday at the Boch Center, Shubert Theater.
I attached a photo of the great attendance among three unions and a dozon nonunion invited guests. It was very educational and informative, with current data to support union interest today. For some of us, it was review and for others, it was a history lesson and for others, something totally new that they learned that was unknown to them, no matter what their age.

IATSE Local B-4 Ushers union, in conjunction with stagecraft Local 11 and Wardrobe Local 775 of Boston, are holding an educational and informative meeting, so please save the date of Monday January 13 at 6:30 PM. We will host The Road Show - - -
"Why Unions Still Matter," is an informative and enlightening presentation, developed by the Labor Education Program at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, in conjunction with the IATSE makes the case that strong unions are an essential component of a strong and stable economy.
IATSE members who have seen this presentation have given it great reviews, and say that it explains our history and invigorates workers to be more involved in their locals and in the Union movement. We feel this presentation will be a good "refresher" for our members. Also, invited are ushers of two other nonunion venues we are in the process of conducting organizing drives.
The presentation will be held at the
Boch Center Shubert Theater on
Monday, January 13 at 6:30 PM (and should last about two hours). Light refreshments will be provided.
